Management Team

Matt Martin is a principal of Ethos Club & Leisure and a shareholder with Addison Law and has significant experience in licensing, golf, club and hospitality matters. Mr. Martin leads our regulatory practice, including licensing and permitting of hospitality projects throughout the country.

Mr. Martin also has extensive experience advising developers in equity conversions, as well as other clients in numerous high profile club transactions. Additionally, Mr. Martin has extensive experience advising equity member clubs on governance and membership matters.

Mr. Martin is a frequent speaker at hospitality industry conferences including The Golf Industry Show, Golf, Inc., National Golf Course Owners Association meetings and Club Managers Association of America meetings. Mr. Martin is also a frequent author for Golf Business magazine and has been quoted in Golf Digest multiple times and by the Golf Channel.

In connection with his regulatory work, Mr. Martin is a member of the National Association of Alcoholic Beverage Licensing Attorneys, the Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys, and the National Association of Licensing and Compliance Professionals. Mr. Martin received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1988 and his law degree from Southern Methodist University – Dedman School of Law in 1991.
